Over the years, he acquired comprehensive knowledge and developed a rigorous approach to the identification and certification of unique pieces of jewellery and gems.

Moreover, Mr. Morrier has acquired a solid scientific and technological education in pure and applied gemmology, and is highly knowledgeable about jewellery, including the manufacturing processes, history, styles, and creators that have marked an era. His expertise extends from the North American to the international diamond, gem and jewellery markets.

Mr. Morrier is a graduate of the Nantes Université in France, the Canadian Gemmological Association, the Gemological Institute of America, and the International Society of Appraisers.

His career in the world of jewellery and luxury spans over almost 40 years. He enjoys the solid recognition of his peers on the local, national and international markets. Throughout his career, he established a vast network of collaborators, including reputable experts in jewellery, specialists in precious stones, as well as merchants.

Over the last 15 years, he focused his professional activity on the purchase and sale of precious stones, jewellery, watches, coinage, precious metal ingots, and silverware, working mainly through the management, in a broad sense, of important estates.

In addition to his activities as an expert, Yves Morrier shared his knowledge through teaching for 15 years. He accumulated over 3,500 hours of teaching not only pure and applied gemmology, but also the art of evaluation.

In parallel with his teaching activities, he presented dozens of conferences, both locally and internationally. Additionally, his expertise is regularly required by police forces, customs and revenue agencies.

With the rapid growth of the Canadian diamond industry, Yves Morrier acted as a consultant for various government and government-related organizations and private companies involved in the development of the Canadian diamond industry and its administrative structures. He has also developed a specialization in the evaluation of rough, half-cut and cut diamonds for financing purposes.

Mr. Morrier has the skills, knowledge and experience required to serve as an expert witness in court. In fact, his expertise is recognized in both federal and provincial courts.
